OKLAHOMA CITY — Sonic has rolled out a new “Extra Rage Ice” option nationwide for emotionally well-regulated adults who prefer to process life’s minor frustrations by screaming and throwing ice at a bathtub.
The new add-on includes an extra cup of Sonic’s signature pellet ice, giving customers enough to finish their drink while still having plenty left over for a calm, mature evening of hurling frozen water at bathroom fixtures.
“We wanted to support women wherever they are in their wellness journey,” a Sonic spokesperson said. “And sometimes that journey involves standing barefoot in a bathroom and violently launching ice while making noises normally associated with an exorcism.”
The company says Extra Rage Ice can be added to any drink and is especially recommended after difficult mornings, overstimulation, or being asked one additional question by a family member.
Sonic emphasized that the promotion is simply about meeting customers’ needs.
“Some people journal. Some people meditate,” the spokesperson said. “Some people attack a bathtub with ice. There’s no wrong way to be incredibly emotionally healthy.”
