BYU Football Unveils New NIL Alternate Uniforms

PROVO, Utah — BYU Athletics unveiled new NIL-sponsored alternate football uniforms Tuesday after announcing a landmark partnership with Jell-O in what school officials called “the most culturally authentic branding opportunity in modern college athletics.”

University officials said the agreement extends beyond football, with both organizations launching a nationwide public awareness campaign aimed at correcting what they described as the country’s long-standing misconception that Jell-O dishes are desserts.

“The goal isn’t to change minds overnight,” a BYU spokesperson said. “It’s simply to ensure every American understands Jell-O dishes are side dishes.”

The campaign will include stadium messaging, educational materials distributed at home games, and community outreach events throughout the state.

The alternate uniforms are expected to debut later this season, while organizers expressed optimism the initiative will finally settle one of Utah’s most enduring culinary debates.
